Lovely Red Roses

Monday, March 20, 2006 @ 8:01 pm by Sofie Hofmann

I wanted to write about some issues in the Philippines, about friendship, about blogs, about this and that, but I thought that I might just ramble so I decided not to. Maybe I’ll write about it next time or maybe not at all. I decided to post these pictures instead.

I wanted to post these lovely red roses anyway, ever since I got them, but on the day that I received them, it snowed quite heavily here in Weggis, so instead of posting the pictures of these red roses, I opted to post the pictures I took when it was snowing. You’ll find those pictures in my previous entries, Snow kept falling on my head… and Weggis in Winter… Heavy Snow in March…. It rarely happened that I was out there late at night and it snowed like that.

I really like flowers. The first flowers that Hub gave me way back in the Philippines, were white roses. He told me then that for him white roses symbolize friendship and he gave me those white roses as a sign of friendship. The next thing I know, he was already giving me red roses.

I just love red roses. They’re just simply beautiful. I especially took the vase from the table, put it on the floor and took some shots from different angles. I pretended like a professional photographer. Hmmm… :)
