Brazilian Football Fever in Weggis! The Brazilian National Soccer Team came to Weggis for its training before going to Germany for the World Cup which will start on June 09, 2006. The Brazilian football stars arrived in Weggis on May 22, 2006 and they will be here until June 03, 2006. Brazil, the defending champion, 5 times world champion, as they say, is the number 1 and the best in the world.

I am not really a soccer fan but I also took the time to take some pictures on the first day of training.

Can you recognize Ronaldinho and Roberto Carlos?

The football arena was just an ordinary soccer ground but as you can see, it’s now an open stadium.

Hi Sofie, wow you were fortunate to have the Brazilian team there! It was featured on tv here (Bangkok) the other day. I hope they had a wonderful stay at your place and that they will be champion again (is that ok to say here?)!!!

  2. Hello Jigsz, I’m not really a soccer fan but witnessing how the Brazilian soccer players affect the community and the visitors who came from all over, you wouldn’t hesitate joining the fun.

“…they will be champion again (is that ok to say here?)!!!” … sure, no problem at all.
