Three Things That I just love to do

Tuesday, January 15, 2008 @ 11:48 pm by Sofie Hofmann

Another tag and I hope the last. :) I promised cheH that I will do this tag. CheH tagged me a long time ago about the three things that I’m addicted to. I might as well rephrase that, three things that I just love to do.

Three Things That I just love to do

GOLF

Erich and I have the same hobby, and that is playing golf. We both love to travel just to be able to play golf. Golf is fun. You meet a lot of people. Golf is quite challenging too. You play with other people but your true competitor is yourself. It needs a lot of concentration. You use your brain to think what kind of strategy should you do in every hole you play. Strokes are never the same, that’s what a golfer always try to remember. It’s a good form of exercise especially if you have to walk all throughout the 18 holes. You move your head, arms, legs, actually the whole body every time you make a strike. Just a few of the reasons why I love playing golf.

PHOTOGRAPHY

A picturesque sunset is just one of my favorite subjects. I love taking photographs of anything that interests me. As long as I have my camera, I always find something. Sometimes I would even make a story out of the photo. It’s just me being crazy. :)

WEB DESIGN

I have been designing websites since 1999 as a hobby. Web design and development is very challenging and it really keeps me busy. There’s always something new to learn, so learning doesn’t stop at all. I read often as there is always something new everyday. That’s what I like about it as I have learned a lot out of it.

    Hi Sofie,
what timing was it that my spam word was ‘family’ - that has to be at the top of my list of ‘just love to dos’ and i have to say i can’t pick any three bec. there’s just so many of them ;-) … golf is something i can’t really say i’ve tried though hubby here has been going to the course here on saturdays last year and he has a little hole in the backyard where he plays with the kids ;-)

    Hello Jen!

So your darling hub is somehow playing golf too. That’s nice to know. Does it mean that if we visit you there, the three of us can play golf together? What about you then? Common, common, try it too, so we can play together. I think it would be fun!

Enjoy the rest of the week dear!

    Hello Jen!

Mareeeee! Talaga naman, at nagpapayaman talaga. :)

Ngek!

Have a nice week dear! Hugs and kisses!

I always had this impression that people who plays golf are “rich”, so they say. For me this hobby is not as easy as playing basketball. I can’t be addicted to “sports” but I love watching sports and the goodlooking sports clothes “golfer” wears.

    Hello K!

Not at all, we aren’t rich but we play golf. And it’s not really for rich people only. No quotes there. :) It also depends on the location. Here in Switzerland, golf is becoming affordable. In the US, it is even more affordable. In Ireland and Sweden, green fees are also very reasonable, some are even cheaper than here. But there are golf clubs which are charging really high green fees be it in the US, UK, Ireland or Sweden, even here. In the Philippines, golf is still expensive (in general). There are golf courses there which are charging reasonable too, but you can only count.

But if you want to play at the nice golf courses in the Philippines then it’s really going to be expensive because most green fees there are more than 100 US dollars per 18 holes. That’s why it’s good if you are a member of a golf club, then you don’t have to pay the green fee for the golf course which belongs to the club even if you play everyday. If not, especially if you play every week, that would be really expensive. But then membership fees to become a member are not also cheap (aside from the annual fees), and that’s another problem.

Opps… I can go on and on talking about golf. :)

So, have a nice weekend na lang baka humaba pa.

    Hello Renny!

Well, web designing can be learned, that is if you have a lot of patience. :)

About the sunset photo, if I may tell you, that picture was not “photoshopped” at all (which I rarely do, by the way), I just resized it. It was taken 50 meters from the back of our house in the Philippines. Just one of the reasons why I always love to go back to my hometown. :)

    Happy Valentine’s Day too!

    Have a nice week!
