I'm not from Davao, so I can't really tell you a lot. Although I've been to Davao several times, I've just been to Samal Island once. The resort where we stayed is private and the beach area is small. The resort is not really that big and there's nothing to do during the night. But it offers sightseeing tour packages around the island and other destinations like going to a waterfall among others. Then I heard that Pearl Farm is great, although I have not been there yet. It's private too. Samal Island is just a few minutes boat ride from the main Island Davao. If you like to see the Philippine eagles, you can also ask the resort for a tour going to where the Philippines eagles are located, it's just a little bit far from the city though. Samal Island have a lot of resorts just like Boracay but as I see it, it's not really like Boracay where you have a long stretch of white sand beach. You just have to find a resort in Samal Island that is to your liking and see what it can offer you. Hello alexndher!
