Serendra, Vivere, Mall of Asia
I went back to Manila from Pandan via Kalibo on May 1, 2008. Later that afternoon I met a very good friend of mine at Vivere Suites in Alabang and we had a good spa massage. Then we were joined by her husband, my sisters, my niece and her friends for dinner at Gilligan’s restaurant, also in Alabang.
With all the excitement I forgot to take any pictures. Even her husband who just got back from El Nido with a camera in his hand forgot to take pictures. How many times did it happen that every time we see each other, we just forgot to take our pictures together. Well, chatting was non-stop and you can be sure we were having fun, so taking photos was out of the picture. 
Then I met another good friend on May 5, 2005 at the Serendra and had a nice lunch at the Abe restaurant. Then we went to Makati and visited some other friends. After that, we went to the shopping areas like Rustan’s and Glorietta. Again, no photos with my friend when we were out.

Later that evening, my nephew and my niece fetched me at my friend’s place in Makati and we proceed to Vivere Suites in Alabang for dinner. My other nieces and their friends met us at the lobby. Another bonding time with my nephews and nieces.

On May 6, 2008, my sisters and I went to Makati to settle some things. Later that evening, we went to Mall of Asia to meet my cousin with her family from Dumaguete who both were having a seminar in Manila. We had our dinner at Max’s restaurant. I forgot how Max’s chicken tasted and when I had some during that time, I found it really good.

Mall of Asia is just another shopping mall. It is just like the other malls. I was really wondering what is so special about it that almost everybody was talking about it. I remember when people were talking about Rockwell before. And when I went to Rockwell, well, it was just another shopping mall just like the others. Probably the reason why people were talking about Mall of Asia, it being one of the biggest malls in Asia, definitely bigger than Rockwell.
Anyway, after dinner, we left Mall of Asia and went home directly as I needed to get up early the next day for my flight back to Zurich, Switzerland via Singapore.

I remember Fort Bonifacio, but I can’t recall if there was a mall there.
Accdg to survey, three out ten malls in our country was included in the 10 Biggest Malls in Asia (or World) I think. So ngayonm make it 4 na. Pero I think malls sa atin is to shelter the public (like me) away from the heat of the sun. Mas masarap sa di-aircon maglakad instead of parks, kaya malalaki ang malls sa atin (our version of indoor parks).

And we take our relationships seriously including the 4th, 5th, 6th, etc. cousins as well as those nth feet below the ground. 
But that’s what I appreciate about our culture, having good family relationships (not all families though, there are exceptions, but almost all).

Di ko masyadong naikot yong mall of asia kaya seguro di ko sya masyadong na-appreciate. Nanakit ulo ko sa laki at layo ng lalakarin e nasa loob ka lang. Walang makita except the stores, etc. unless seguro lumabas ka kasi maganda yong view kahit papaano. Naguguluhan pati ako sa dami ng tao.

They’re really good! Sisig, for example, was really really hot and chili! Normally, it’s not but that one was.

I must say that Serendra is much okay than Mall of Asia. Iba ang ambiance compared sa ibang malls sa atin kasi mall and garden combined kasi. Madalas ako dyan kasi dyan lang din ako nakatira eh. ^_^

Hello Snow!
Ibang-iba talaga ang Serenda sa Mall of Asia kasi di sila magkapareho ng concept. Serendra is a community, di ba, with malls? Kaysa nga naman lalabas pa ang mga tao puntang Makati. Mall of Asia naman, pinalaking SM, mas malaki lang ngayon sa ibang SMs.
