Mother’s 80th Birthday, Pandan, Antique, Philippines
Hub and I went on vacation in May 2009 in the Philippines because we celebrated my mother’s 80th birthday in Pandan, Antique.
But before going home to Pandan, Hub and I played golf first and visited other places too in the Philippines.
We played golf at the Riviera Golf and Country Club and Canlubang Golf and Country Club in Laguna and Cavite respectively.
After a few days in Manila, we went to Bohol and stayed at Bohol Beach Club in Panglao Island. We did not miss seeing the famous Chocolate Hills and the Philipine Tarsier during our Bohol Land Tour.
After Bohol, we went to Boracay and stayed at the Boracay Mandarin along White Beach Boracay. During our short stay in Boracay, we did not miss going up to Mount Luho, the highest point in Boracay Island.
We went home to Pandan, Antique, Philippines on May 22, 2009 directly from Boracay Island. We were privately transported from Cagban port in Boracay to Caticlan jetty port in Caticlan. My brother fetched us in Caticlan and we went home directly to Pandan afterwards.
Our vacation in Pandan was all about my mother’s 80th birthday and being together with the rest of the family.
We did not go around in Pandan when in fact there are a lot of nice places to go to in Pandan like the Malumpati Cold Spring. There are also other activities that we could have done like the Bugang River Adventure Tour but we just wanted to spend our time with our mother so we stayed at home. We went to Baybay Beach everyday though and took some photos of the beach and the sunset.
Our mother’s 80th birthday celebration was not that grand. We started the celebration with a mass at the nice chapel of the Holy Family in our barangay. But I can’t remember how it ended and at what time but definitely with singing and dancing.
The birthday celebration was simple but meaningful enough for all of us as she was able to celebrate it with her family and friends. We were tremendously happy as we were able to celebrate the 80th birthday of our beloved mother.
The Holy Family was our family gift to our mother on her 80th birthday which she also gave to the Parish Church of Pandan, Antique, Philippines.
We left Pandan and went back to Manila on May 26, 2009. We spent a few days in Manila before flying back to Switzerland via Hong Kong.
