Going around Switzerland

Tuesday, October 31, 2006 @ 11:50 am by Sofie Hofmann

My mother and niece are here in Switzerland for a month visit. Erich and I fetched them at the Zurich airport just before 10:00 in the evening on October 24, 2006. My mother is already in her 70s so I let them rest the next day. We haven’t been around that much yet because my mother gets tired easily.

Well, we just went for a short walk to the Hilltop called Hoechi which is just a stone-throw away from our house. I especially showed the view of Weggis in 360 degrees to my mother and niece.

The next day, we again went for a walk in Weggis along “Vierwaldstaettersee” or Lake Lucerne. It’s really different now with elderly people, because an hour walk became a two-hour walk. It really doesn’t matter as long as they enjoy.

After a few days, although we haven’t been around Lucerne area yet, we decided to go to Geneva because the weather was nice. We only stayed one night in Geneva. I’ll post some of the pictures in my next blog entry.

I still have three more weeks to show them around. So, you can be sure that we’ll be very busy going to different places. I’ll try to post some pictures if I can. I really hope that the weather will remain nice and not too cold for them so we’ll be able to go around Switzerland.
