SM Mall of Asia Philippines

We planned to play golf for 3 days but after two days of golfing at Riviera Golf and Country Club and Canlubang Golf and Country Club, we decided not to play on the third day because it was really so hot. We went to SM Mall of Asia instead, with our friend C and her son G.

I really planned to go to Mall of Asia as I needed to do some errands. We first had our brunch at the Fish and Co. and later on did what I needed to do. After that, my friend C and her son G needed to leave as they had an appointment in the afternoon. Hub and I were also meeting another friend late in the afternoon.

We went around the Mall of Asia while waiting for our friend. We went to National Bookstore (level-1 MM 1129 – 1131) and bought some books. We went to SM Department Store and bought some other things. We went all around the mall window shopping. When we got tired, we just stayed at Coffee Bean (level-1 EM 129), and later on at Starbucks (level-1 MM 1137 – 1138).

When our friend G arrived, we decided to have dinner at the Mall of Asia. We went to Cafe Adriatico (level-2 EM 2150 – 2153) and had our dinner at the Mojito Bay. The timing was just right as the restaurant was overlooking Manila Bay, I was able to take some photos of the sunset.

We were waiting for our orders then, when all of a sudden we heard some sounds. The sounds actually came from the fireworks along the Sunset Boulevard.

We were told that every 7 o’clock in the evening, there’s a fireworks display along Sunset Boulevard at the Mall of Asia. The fireworks display is becoming an attraction at the Mall of Asia. People frequent the mall because of the fireworks.

We had a good dinner at the Mojito Bay Restaurant. The food was great. We especially ordered Crispy Pata along with other orders.

After dinner, we went to Makati as planned. We went to Strumm’s Bar along Jupiter Street in Makati City, Philipines.

I did not know that Strumm’s which used to be along Makati Avenue transferred to Jupiter Street. I also used to go to Strumm’s when I was still working in Makati. I reminded Hub about Strumm’s along Makati Avenue and he remembered it.

It was a Friday night and our friend knew very well what bands were performing. The two bands, Hi-Way 54 Band and Fat Session Band were great entertainers. We definitely had a great time.

We did not finish watching their second performances though. We just stayed until past 12:30am. We left Strumm’s before 1:00am because our flight to Bohol the next day was quite early in the morning.
