Salzburg, Salzburg, Austria Side Trip

We left St. Michael im Lungau and went to St. Veit im Pongau to visit some friends before going to the city of Salzburg.

After St. Veit in Pongau, we went to Salzburg city. Travel time from St. Veit im Pongau to Salzburg city was only about 50 minutes. When we arrived in Salzburg, we had traditional Austrian food for lunch before going around the city.

After our lunch, we visited Mirabell Gardens and Mirabell Palace. We did not go inside the Mirabell Palace though.

After Mirabell Gardens and Mirabell Palace, we went to see the residence of Mozart, and then just roamed around the city.

We probably left the city of Salzburg just before 4:00 p.m. and went back home to Switzerland.

St. Michael im Lungau, Salzburg, Austria Trip

We went to Sankt Michael im Lungau in Salzburgerland in Austria in September 2008 for a golf weekend.

We stayed at Stofflerwirt Country Hotel which was just almost across Golf Club Lungau. We played golf at Golf Club Lungau.

Salzburgerland is the Austrian state of Salzburg. Salzburgerland can be called as Salzburg only. But I prefer to use Salzburgerland instead of Salzburg so as not to confuse you with the city of Salzburg.
