Hawick, Scottish Borders, Scotland Trip

We arrived in Hawick from Oban via Inveraray at around 5:25 p.m.

We stayed at the Elm House Hotel and had our dinner there too.

After dinner, we went for a walk around the area as it was not that dark yet.

The next day, we went to Hawick Cashmere of Scotland on the Duke Street and Arthur Street.

Hawick Cashmere is one of the finest producers of cashmere in the world.

We left Hawick, Scotland just before 11:00 a.m. We travelled from Hawick, Scotland to England for several hours.

We arrived in Cambridge, England at around 7:00 p.m. We went through Cambridge because we planned to go to Colchester afterwards.

Inveraray Castle, Inveraray, Scotland Side Trip

We left Oban, The Little Bay at around 11:14 a.m. via Kilmerford, Lochgilphead, Furnace going to Inveraray. We especially went to Inveraray to see the Inveraray Castle.

Inveraray Castle is a remarkable Scottish castle located in Inveraray along Loch Fyne in Scotland. It is the ancestral home of the Duke of Argyll.

After Inveraray, we just continued our travel to Hawick via Glasgow.

We arrived in Hawick, Scotland at around 5:25 p.m. It took us more than six hours to reach Hawick instead of just 4-5 hours travel time from Oban.

Oban, The Little Bay in Scotland Trip

It was past 6:00 p.m. when we arrived in Oban coming from Inverness passing along some of the Scotland Lochs such as Loch Ness, Loch Lochy, Loch Linnhe, and Loch Creran among others.

We checked in at Wellpark House located along the Corran Esplanade and walking distance from the city center of Oban.

After we checked in, we walked along the Corran Esplanade, had our dinner at the Rannachan Restaurant in Oban Bay Hotel.

The next day, we walked around the city of Oban and visited the Oban Distillery along the Stafford Street.

We left Oban at around 11:14 a.m. and went back to Hawick just to buy some Hawick Cashmere pullover.

Metro Manila Floods caused by Typhoon Ondoy Tropical Storm Ketsana

I do not know where and how to begin this blog entry. I am still so overwhelmingly sad with what happened in the Philippines after reading all the updates on the aftermath of the flash flooding in the Philippines especially Manila and Metro Manila areas caused by Typhoon Ondoy Tropical Storm Ketsana.

I do not know what to say anymore. I just would like to offer prayers for all the victims and their families and for those whose lives that got spared from getting hurt.
