Simple Happiness

We had a sightseeing tour of the lake of Brienz and part of it was an afternoon break in Interlaken. After we left Brienz, we proceeded to Interlaken, had some coffee and chocolate and desserts at the Victoria-Jungfrau Grand Hotel and Spa.

We had a sightseeing tour of the lake of Brienz or “Brienzersee”. We had two stops aside from stopping in Lungern near Bruenig where you can see the whole lake of Lungern.

From Lungern, on the way to Interlaken, we stopped by Brienz along Lake Brienz. We had some pictures taken especially with the bear which is one of the most important symbols of canton Berne.

From Brienz, we went to Interlaken, a municipality located between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz in the district of Interlaken of the canton of Berne in Switzerland.

We went to the city of Lucerne, the tourist capital of Switzerland. We just rode a boat from our place to Lucerne. It was a sunny day but it was also very cold, probably between zero and five degrees Centigrade.

We will have to go back to Lucerne though. Well, my mother and my niece did not have any pictures with the Water Tower nor at the Chapel Bridge, the famous landmark of Lucerne.

Indeed, an afternoon in Lucerne was not at all enough if you want to roam around the city.

We went to Geneva, Switzerland last week. We stayed there for a night and were able to visit some relatives. We also met other relatives whom we did not know. They are actually my mother’s grandchildren to some cousins.

On the first day, we had our pictures taken outside the United Nations Building, Red Cross, and Hotel School of Geneva. Then, we went for a walk along Lake Geneva and had our pictures taken with the “Jet d’Eau” or Water-Jet on the background.

On the second day, we went for a walk at the University of Geneva. Since our time was quite limited, we were not able to go to a lot of places.

It was really such a nice visit even for just a short time. Thanks to everyone who made our stay there a worthwhile one. God bless you all.
