Simple Happiness

The day after my cousin arrived, we went to Lucerne for shopping and for a nice walk along the lake. We especially went to the Promenade for a walk, and went to Palace Luzern for an afternoon dessert.

Afterwards, we just spent our afternoon walking around Lucerne taking photos and videos.

The next day, we went up to Rigi Kulm, to Mount Rigi, the Queen of the mountains in Switzerland.

The next day, we took a boat trip on the lake going to Vitznau to Gersau to Beckenried to Treib to Brunnen, then to Lucerne. We went around the city of Lucerne once again and went to the Lion Monument.

The next day, we were supposed to go up to Mount Pilatus but it was foggy up there even if the weather was good. We decided not to go up but because we had nothing to do, we again went to Lucerne.

We just roamed around the shopping area in Lucerne and had some pictures with the Chapel Bridge, Water Tower, Jesuit Church, Spreuerbruecke (Spreuer Bridge) among others.

After the city tours, we brought Annie at the Steigenberger Hotel in Zurich. Afterwards, we had dinner at the Spaghetti Factory, also in Zurich, Switzerland.

We left the hotel the next day.

We went to Cyprus in Autumn-Winter 2007.

WE stayed at Columbia Beach Hotel in Pissouri, Cyprus.

We played golf at Aphrodite Hills Golf in Kouklia, Secret Valley Golf Club and Tsada Golf Club in Pafos (Paphos).

We just did not play golf, we also went for a Jeep Safari tour around the Akamas Peninsula.

We went first to see the Rock of Aphrodite, then went to Coral Bay, then entered the South Coast of Akamas Peninsula.

We went for a short hike at the Avgas/Avakas Gorge Natural Trail near Pegeia and Agios Georgios area near Coral Bay.

Then we went to Lara Bay, also called Turtle Beach.

We also went to the Baths of Aphrodite, 8 kilometers or 5 miles west of Polis towards Akamas Peninsula.

Our last stop was Kathikas, a small village in Pafos (Paphos), Cyprus.

After that, we went back to the hotel in Pissouri.

Cyprus is a nice place to explore. There are a lot of places worth to know and yet to discover with all of its legends, history, culture and nature.

Winter is not yet over. Yes, astronomically speaking, it is still Winter and it snowed here two nights ago. I actually have been waiting for it. I have wanted to take pictures and videos of our place in 360 degrees from the hilltop in Winter time. But I normally do not go to the hilltop during Winter as it is really cold on that area especially if the wind is strong.

Well, I went out. It was cold and the wind was indeed strong at the hilltop but I enjoyed taking photos and videos. I enjoyed watching the kids playing on the snow with their sledges. It was really fun watching them sledging. They were really enjoying even if they have to go up all the time after a few minutes of going down using the sledge.
