One thing that I really enjoy every time we travel in Switzerland even if we are along the highway, is the sight of the moon after dawn and the sight of the moon before dusk with the mountain view. The moon after dawn is a normal sight for us during summer, but only if the weather is really good.
On the road, up in the alps
Hub and I would always travel for at least an hour and 45 minutes going to Obergesteln to play golf. Either we go through the Furka Tunnel by taking the train, with our car of course, or go up to Furka Pass and enjoy the panoramic view of the alps.
On August 26, 2006, the weather was great up in the alps especially at the canton of Uri side of Furka Pass. To our surprise, it was quite gloomy at the canton of Valais side of Furka Pass.
That is one thing about the weather, you will never know despite the weather forecast. 🙂
Petron Solar I Guimaras Oil Spill
The vessel M/T Solar I which was hired by Petron Corporation sank southwest of Guimaras Strait on August 11, 2006. The sunken oil tanker was carrying millions of liters of oil.
This tragedy should teach us a lesson. I just hope that people would learn from this incident.
It is so sad. A lot of people have been severely affected, and especially when I read this, “Marine rehab, recovery may take 10-25 yrs,” say UP experts, at the Inquirer.
Please check the other videos at YouTube by clicking the above video itself, and I leave it up to you to discern and consider helping the victims of Petron Solar I Guimaras Oil Spill. It’s up to you which organization to contact if you want to help.
The way Baby Rayu smiles
The last time I saw Baby Rayu, who was not even a year old then, was last May 2006. Now, he is already more than one year old and can already walk. He can even talk a little bit. I really miss that cute little healthy baby! Look at the way he smiles!
