Simply Rockin’ Girl Blogger

So I finally decided to write about this Rockin’ Girl Blogger Award.

If anyone is giving me another award, I would gladly appreciate it. I will write about it too but do not expect me to tag anyone unless I change my mind soon enough. 🙂

With that, as much as I would like to pass this award, I will not be nominating anybody. It is not that no one deserves this award but as I have said I do not like tagging anyone. So I will just give it back to Sheryl and Thess. Again, She and Thess, thank you for the recognition and congratulations too!

A weekend with my childhood friend

My jetsetter 🙂 childhood friend ever M arrived in Switzerland for just a weekend.

The day after she arrived, as the weather forecast was not that good in Valais, we decided to go to the original Victorinox shop in Schwyz, later on we went to Lucerne.

The next day, we went to Zermatt just to see the Matterhorn via Furka Pass, a high mountain pass in the alps which is 2,436 meters above sea level.

We went to Matterhorn as M and I had been to Mt. Rigi, Mt. Titlis, Mt. Pilatus and Mt. Bürgenstock before. There are still a lot of mountains in Central Switzerland but seeing Matterhorn is quite a different experience.

On the way home, we never forgot to eat raclette. For me, it’s like a must in Valais to try raclette. So we dropped by Golf Source du Rhone in Obergesteln and had some raclette there. Hub and I both love raclette. And M? Oh yes, she loved it too.

We left Obergesteln, passed by Oberwald then up to Grimsel Pass, a high mountain pass in the alps which is 2,615 meters above sea level.

The next day, we brought M at the airport.

Another lovely Saturday in Autumn

It is Autumn and for the month of October, it was gloomy and foggy in our area as our place is near the lake, quite different in Valais/Wallis where the sun was shining as we were there on Saturdays, the first and second week. Last Saturday, was another fine and lovely day in Valais. We went to Zermatt, Switzerland just to see the Matterhorn, via Furka Pass and Grimsel Pass.

Grimsel Pass is a high mountain pass in the Swiss Alps, which is 2,615 meters above sea level, and Furka Pass is another high mountain pass in the Swiss Alps, which is 2,436 meters above sea level.

A few things to know about me

Thess tagged me a long time ago. I normally do not like being tagged but I promised Thess that I will do it after I finished writing about our trip in England. Although it will help others to know me better, I still do not like it, aside from it is occupying too much of my time, I just do not have the patience to think of all the answers, that’s why.

It is actually a good exercise. It makes you think (once again) who you really are, but still… 🙂
