Dancing Stingray Video, SEA LIFE, Constance, Germany

This is another attempt on videography. This is the first time that I use Mac’s iMovie. The other videos I did for Weggis.net were edited using the Microsoft’s Moviemaker. The other videos were not properly edited as I did not really explore Moviemaker which I think has very limited editing features as well. Mac’s iMovie is not that super advanced either but at least a little bit better than Microsoft’s Moviemaker.

The video is about the dancing stingray of SEA LIFE in Constance, Germany. Constance is located along the Lake of Constance known as “Bodensee”.

The Dancing Stingray, SEA LIFE, Constance (Konstanz), Germany. The video clip was taken by Sofie Hofmann (www.sofiehofmann.com) on March 14, 2009 at SEA LIFE in Constance (Konstanz), Germany.

I actually mixed two video clips in this short entertaining movie. I just removed the noise on the video clips and replaced it with the music by Apple entitled 44th Street Long. Not bad really with regard to the timing of the stingray dancing.

What did I use to take this video? I just used an ordinary point and shoot digital camera with the fine and video size 640×360 which is like an HD format.

Just to let you know, I use iMovie as of now, but later on, I will try to use Final Cut Express for more advanced features. For the meantime while I am practicing and experimenting, I’ll make use of Mac’s iMovie first.

Wish me luck on my videography adventures! 🙂

I just checked my point and shoot digital camera and the video size was actually 640×480. When I imported it, it was also saved in another format, 640×360. Then when I edited and exported the final video output, I saved it in 640×360.
