Simple Happiness

It was early in the morning on July 07, 2008 when we left Switzerland for a summer golf vacation in Scotland via Calais, France to Dover, England. From Dover, we decided to continue our travel as far as we can as long as it was not yet dark. We knew that we will not be able to proceed to Scotland then, so we made a decision to stay overnight past London area. At past 10:00 p.m., we eventually stopped in Toddington M1 Southbound and stayed at the Travelodge Hotel.

We continued our road trip the next day at around 7:25 a.m. We just followed the A7 Tourist Route to Edinburgh. We arrived in Edinburgh just before 4:00 p.m.

Virtually travel with us in the next few days.

I will be writing about our 2008 summer and golf vacation in Edinburgh, in St. Andrews, in Inverness, in Oban, and in Hawick in Scotland.

I went back to Manila via Kalibo on May 1, 2008. Later that afternoon I met a very good friend of mine at Vivere Suites in Alabang and we had a good spa massage.

Then I met another good friend on May 5, 2005 at Serendra and had a nice lunch at the Abe restaurant.

Later that evening, my nephew and my niece fetched me at my friend’s place in Makati and we proceed to Vivere Suites in Alabang for dinner.

On May 6, 2008, my sisters and I went to Makati to settle some things. Later that evening, we went to Mall of Asia to meet my cousin with her family. We had our dinner at Max’s restaurant.

Mall of Asia is just another shopping mall. It is just like the other malls. I was really wondering what is so special about it that almost everybody was talking about it. I remember when people were talking about Rockwell before. And when I went to Rockwell, well, it was just another shopping mall just like the others. Probably the reason why people were talking about Mall of Asia, it being one of the biggest malls in Asia, definitely bigger than Rockwell. 🙂

I have been to Davao before, when I was assigned there for work. So when I heard that Beng will settle in the Philippines and that is in Davao, I called her up. I told her that I will try to visit her if ever I will go to the Philippines in April.

We went to Paradise Island Park and Beach Resort in Samal Island and booked for an overnight stay there. The place was decent and clean. The employees were nice and friendly. But the problem was, we were not allowed to bring any food and drinks inside the room. We even had to ask if water was allowed. 😆 Well, thanks goodness, it was allowed. 😆

Malumpati Cold Spring is one of the nice places in Pandan we never forget to go to for a day excursion.

Once we arrived in Malumpati, we had our lunch right away. Afterwards, the children went for a swim.

The air in Malumpati was so cool and fresh. Malumpati was just the place to be during Summer. And for those who went swimming, the water was so refreshing for a hot summer day in the Philippines.

Malumpati is also called Malumpati Health Spring and Tourist Resort. Pandananons are not the only ones frequenting this place but other people as well from different towns in Antique.
